Abbey Machinery Launch Agri Pro Trailing Shoe

Abbey Machinery, a leading manufacturer of ag tech machinery, is proud to announce the launch of the new Agri Pro Trailing Shoe.
The Agri Pro Trailing Shoe is a 7.7m trailing shoe low emission slurry spreading applicator. The Agri Pro Trailing Shoe is TAMS III grant eligible for the ROI market. The new shoe maintains the precision and quality of the Abbey trailing shoe range with direct soil engagement in a new streamlined design.
The Agri Pro is designed to optimise nutrient application and reduce environmental impact, making it an asset for farmers working to enhance sustainability practices. By utilising cutting edge engineering technology for the most impactful soil engagement, Abbey Machinery has developed a system that promotes efficient fertilisation while minimising runoff and environmental contamination. LESS trailing shoe technology can reduce the loss of harmful emissions on farm by up to 60%.
‘Abbey identified an opportunity in the market for an updated LESS applicator that provides precise trailing shoe application and soil engagement on hilly or uneven ground, keeping downward force on the individual shoes while remaining as lightweight as possible. The Vertical Trailing Shoe leaves the slurry in discrete lines on the soil below the crop canopy. The applicator includes a self-levelling boom that adjusts to the ground contours, easily implemented into most farms.’ says Head of Engineering Dermot Burke. ‘Abbey are experts in engineering Slurry Management solutions, the new Agri Pro Trailing Shoe is a natural extension of our Total Cow range’.
The 7.7m Agri Pro Trailing Shoe is a custom Abbey engineered design which provides soil engagement with an enhanced contour following, a 30-hole distributor, 40mm hose and 5” distribution pipe. The Agri Pro Trailing Shoe pairs perfectly with Abbey’s extensive slurry tanker range, or can be purchased stand alone for retro fit. The Abbey slurry management system is key for operators looking to get the most out of their nutrient dense slurry through correct utilisation of N, Ps & Ks for improved yields and reduced artificial fertiliser costs.
The new Agri Pro Trailing Shoe will be on exhibit at the Abbey Machinery stand at the upcoming the National Ploughing Championships and the Tullamore Show.
The Agri Pro is eligible for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS III) grant. This grant program supports farmers in adopting innovative technologies that enhance productivity and environmental sustainability. By investing in the Agri Pro, farmers can benefit from financial assistance while improving their operations and sustainability programs.
